i had a dream, and then i woke up

not last night, but the night before that, i had a dream that i was at some sort of beach. i can't remember where - it may have been byron bay. there were a few family and friends there and a few strangers. but i saw a whale. and of course everyone was so excited. but there was some sort of contraption - like an elevator. it started on land and then took you down to the water. and the whale got stuck in the bottom of it, in the water part. but when i went to go see it, it had disappeared.
